July 25th and 26th - Bicknell International Film Festival.

The 13th Annual Bicknell International Film Festival (BIFF) presents 3 of the best bad western films ever made.  This event celebrates the classic funny 'B' movie in a quaint and unique western small-town movie theatre.  The BIFF is a festival with a sense of humor - and plenty of free parking!

The world's fastest parade (55 miles per hour), themed "Ride Off Into The Sunset" begins the festivities on Friday evening at the Chuckwagon Lodge and General Store in Torrey at 7 PM and ends at the Wayne Theatre in Bicknell. All participants are encouraged to dress in their best western attire as well as theme their vehicles accordingly.  Be at the Chuckwagon at 6:30 PM if you want to drive your car in the parade.

The Opening Night Feature is "The Outlaw" (1957) will begin at the Wayne Theatre at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 25th. The sultry screen presence of Jane Russell is HOT!
Following the screening, the "Party of the Stars" will take place at the Cafe Diablo on the west side of Torrey. Musical guests Sister Wives!
Saturday morning July 26th starts off at 9 A.M. with a Swap Meet at the Robber's Roost Bookstore in Torrey. Bring some stuff to swap!
BIFF-Fans will want to mosey on over to Teasdale for the Volunteer Fire Department's Mutton & Taters Dutch Oven fund raiser which begins at 12 noon on Saturday at the Teasdale Fire Department Building.
At 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 26th, you will have the opportunity to attend a rare screening of "The Master Gunfighter" (1961). This combo spaghetti western/samurai gunfighter/good vs. evil movie is the kind of stuff BIFF was created for.  A seminar and discussion, "What Makes A Western A Western??" will be held at the Wayne Theatre following the screening featuring a knowledgeable panel of film experts and a real cowboy or two!
The Closing Night Double Feature Movie is the classic silent film "The Great Train Robbery" (1903) and  "The Terror of Tiny Town" (1938).  The tag line for The Terror of Town says it all - Little Guys With Big Guns. It will begin at 7:30 p.m.
